The Euromed Championship and Clinic have become a regular fixture for a lot of sailors looking for a warm weather venue with good race management in the winter months. The regatta caters for Optimists and all the ILCA Dinghy classes, making it ideal for families with children in the different classes. SailCoach has been attending regattas for over 27 years therefore we have the expertise to give our students an excellent learning experience.

The 2022 Euromed Championship Coaching Tour is between the 12th (arrival day) and the 21st of December 2022 (departure day). The regatta dates are the 17th to the 20th of December 2022.

The format for this event is four days of pre-regatta training in Mellieha Bay, followed by four days of participation in Malta’s premier dinghy regatta Euromed. The host club is Malta Young Sailors Club, and entries should be done through their website.

12th December 2022
Arrive at Malta Airport (MLA) and be met by a member of SailCoach’s friendly coaching staff, where you will be taken to Mellieha Bay in the north of the island where the regatta is being held.

13th and 16th December 2022
Euromed Clinic, we have put these days into the programme to help you get to know the way around the sailing waters of Mellieha Bay, set your boat up for the regatta and let you get to know your coach before it all starts for real.

17th to 20th December 2022
Racing begins in the Euromed Championship in what promises to be a competitive event. A good week here will give you bags of confidence and the experience to compete at any other European regatta. SailCoach’s experienced coaching staff will give you all the support you need on and off the water to help you reach your full potential.

20th or 21st December 2022
On the night of the 20th or the morning of the 21st of December, a member of the SailCoach staff can drop you off at Malta Airport to catch your flight for your journey home, hopefully with a few prizes.

This package includes accommodation in the regatta hotel with half board, airport transfers, regatta transport and our world-class coaching. You will also need to budget for flight tickets, pocket money, Optimist or ILCA Dinghy charter and entry fees.
