SailCoach opens a second base in Valencia.

SailCoach, the leading provider of high-performance coaching support services for dinghy sailors and sailing federations, is pleased to announce the opening of its second SailSase in Valencia, Spain. The city has a rich sailing history, including playing host to the 2007 America’s Cup.

The Valencia SailBase will work in conjunction with the long established SailBase on the island of Malta. The coaching services company is responding to the increase in demand for its services. Sailors and federations now have a broader choice of where to access our world class service.

The new Valencia SailBase expansion enables SailCoach to accelerate growth in its services, specifically its “SailCoach lite” product, where yacht club and federation teams can take advantage of hassle-free warm weather training facilities.

In addition, Valencia SailBase provides a “home from home” for teams wanting a base in Europe with year-round training facilities. The Valencia SailBase will provide favourable priced long-term containers parking, giving teams a base to store equipment a day’s drive away from the heart of Europe. They can then fly from any part of the world, spending a week or two getting set up and get over jetlag, et cetera, before competing on the European regatta circuit.

Traditionally, the first regatta on the European circuit is Palma Majorca, and with Valencia having daily ferry services to the island, what better starting point could there be?

“The decision to expand our presence into the Valencia area was a logical step in our business strategy,” said Trevor Millar, company founder. Real Club Náutico de Valencia has experience partnering with international coaching groups and we are excited to work with them building a new centre of excellence in central Europe.
