Welcome to the 2024 ILCA Grand Prix Coaching Tour.

Join us from the 21st (arrival day) to the 27th (departure day) of February 2024 for what promises to be an exciting event supported by our world-class coaching, providing you with an excellent learning experience. The tour begins with two days of intensive pre-regatta training based at the Marina Vilamoura. Our experienced coaches will provide comprehensive guidance to help you sharpen your skills and prepare for the upcoming Grand Prix regatta.

Programme:

21st of February 2024
Arrive at into Faro International Airport (FAO) and be met by SailCoach’s friendly coaching staff member, and they will take you to Marina Vilamoura, the venue for this year’s regatta.

22nd and  23rd of February 2024
Before the event, we will have three familiarisation and coaching days at the regatta venue, with SailCoach’s experienced coaches will aim to help you become familiar with the local conditions and gain valuable knowledge about the race area. Our coaches will assist you in developing a race strategic “Game Plan” and offer video analysis to improve both your boat handling and speed, as adequate preparation is crucial for a successful regatta. Additionally, these pre-regatta days will allow you to get to know our coaches, which will give you a significant advantage once the racing begins.

24th to 26th of February 2024
Racing starts in the Grand Prix regatta, in what promises to be a tough event. Ahead lies four days of tough racing. However, don’t worry, SailCoach’s experienced coaching staff will be there with you giving you all the support you need on and off the water to help you reach your goals.

26th or 27th of February 2024
At the end of the event, a SailCoach staff member will take you to Faro International Airport for your journey back home, hopefully with a couple of trophies to celebrate your achievements. One thing is certain: you will have gained valuable experience from this regatta and created lifelong memories and new friends that will stay with you forever.

For this regatta, we can provide two options for airport transfers:

Evening transfer on the 26th of February, immediately after the regatta finishes or the morning transfer on the 27th of February.

Portuguese Grand Prix Coaching Tour Package
The package comprises airport transfers, accommodation, and our World Class Coaching. Please note that flight tickets, ILCA charter, entry fees, and pocket money should be budgeted separately.
