Artur Ponieczynski, originally from the Polish capital of Warsaw, has a degree in the Logistics of Economic Systems from the University of National Defence in Warsaw. He has sailed throughout his life, in a wide-ranging range of boats from Optimist to 49er while collecting an impressive stack of National and World Championship medals. Artur was a member of the National Polish Team for many years, gaining considerable sailing and coaching experience. Within time, Artur had gained his official coaching qualifications, enabling him to teach sailing professionally. He soon took up a position as the Head Coach of the Olsztynski Klub Zeglarski, a fast-growing and well-recognised sailing club in Poland that has won multiple prestigious awards under his tutelage. In addition to practical sailing techniques, Artur is also extremely knowledgeable about the technical side of boats, and people often come to him for help and advice when their boats go awry. His knowledge of sailing continues to grow exponentially, and he has first-hand experience racing numerous classes of boat, some of which include Optimist, Cadet, Laser 4.7, Radial, Laser Standard, Finn, Tornado, 49er, Delphia 24, and Diamond 3000. He is currently expanding his watersports repertoire by learning to windsurf and researching new ways to harness modern technology in sailing. The coaching team here at SailCoach are very happy to welcome Artur into our organisation.
