Kiel World Cup Coaching Tour

Kiel Olympic Classes Regatta
SailCoach would advise this Tour only for sailors who have a number of European regattas under their belt.  The standard is high and there is a lot of time on the water with an hour’s sail out to the racetrack and three races a day. Therefore, if not fully prepared the racing could be anything but enjoyable.

This year Kiel will start with the Olympic sailing events and finish with racing in the International classes in the second half of the week. The reason for this swap of the 2009 Kieler Woche schedule is the inclusion of the newly launched ISAF Sailing World Cup, thus offering the competitors in the Olympic sailing events better tune-up possibilities.

13th or 14th June
Arrive into Hamburg Airport to be met by a member of SailCoach's friendly coaching staff, where you will be taken to Kiel Olympic village to get familiar with you boat and sailing area. You will have the chance to get to know your SailCoach teammates before the competition begins.

For others we will take a rest day to allow everyone to get themselves ready for the demanding racing ahead and have a chance to enjoy the unique atmosphere at the Kiel Regatta Centre and Olympic village.

16th to 20th June
Racing begins at Kiel Sailing World Cup, one of the most eagerly anticipated regattas of the year. It promises to be a very tough event. SailCoach will give you all the support you need on and off the water to help you reach your full potential.

21st June
SailCoach will drop you off at Hamburg Airport to fly home after a top quality regatta.
