Pre 4.7 Worlds Clinic
As our normal SailBase Island is having some refurbishment work done this winter, therefore we have moved our SailBase down the coast a little towards Marseille in the town of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. As it has a lot of what Embiez has to offer, re sailing conditions and life in this Provence town is lived at a slow pace....
4.7 Pre Worlds Clinic
The clinic is designed to help improve boat preparation with the most recent developments in the class, sail settings and advanced boat handling skills including roll-tacking, roll-gybing and mark roundings. The 4.7 Pre Woelds Clinic will look hard at developing both Upwind and Downwind speed with extensive use of video analysis.
Pre Clinic Experience
The focus of this five day Highfliers Winter Clinic is set up to provide a platform for sailors who have been active in their national youth sailing circuits or Optimists sailors would like to make the transition to the Laser Class.
SailCoach believes strongly in the multi-national training concept and this one week of hard training will give sailors the opportunity to push themselves hard against competitors from other countries.
It will also provide young sailors with the opportunity to be coached by the most experienced Laser coaches available, including coaches who have been members of the Team SailCoach squad at the Athens and Beijing Olympics.
The camps daily schedule will combine classroom lessons with on the water exercises offering healthy competition and is followed up with debrief of tactical and strategy situations. Sailors will receive individual attention both on the water and with video analysis.
Programme:
12th Febuary: Arrivel day: There are three airports below within 2 hours of our Embiez SailBase with the exception of Nice which is 4 hours away. A SailCoach staff member will be happy to come to Marseille or Toulon airports and meet you and take you to the SailBase by minibus.
If you plan to fly into and out of Nice Airport you will need to get a train to Toulon Station where we will pick you up or if you plan to join us by driving to SailBase the town of Le Bruse is where to meet and we will take you to the island by boat.
13th to 24th Febuary: 4.7 Pre Worlds Clinic Embiez SailBase, the clinics daily schedule will start each morning with a group briefing at 10:00hrs in the SailBase and finishing at 17:00hrs.
25th Febuary: SailCoach will drop you off at Marseille or Toulon airports to fly home after a top quality training clinic.

Points to note:
The dates shown above are the sailing days, therefore arrival should be planed for the day prior in the evening and flying home late evening of the last camp day or the next morning after 10:30hrs.
If you need a charter boat we have boats available at 200 Euros per week.
