Chartering Procedures
The usual procedure is to check the boats out a couple of days before the start of the regatta. You sign a form acknowledging the condition the boat was in when you get it and you are ready to go training.
At the end of the regatta you check the boat in and sign the boat off assuming there is no damage and you have got the all clear from the charter manager.
It is our policy not to charge a damage deposit as we know how much it hurts to take that chunk of money out of circulation. Instead we rely on good will and honesty... so far there's only been 3 court cases... "only joking" to date the policy has worked well.
