Individual/Squad Campaign Management
SailCoach set up its first multi-national squad over ten years ago. This gave sailors the chance to benefit from state-of-the-art coaching, at a cost that they could afford. SailCoach's staff has an excellent track record with Gold Medallist, World and European Champions among their successes.
SailCoach will assign a specific manager/coach who will oversee the sailors total campaign, from buying the fastest equipment to where to stay and what to eat, when to train and with whom. Total campaign management either on an individual basis or within the proven SailCoach multi-national squad system. The squad is a like-minded group of sailors linked to one manager/coach.
A squad, limited by class (normally 6 boats), is encouraged to train together at five targeted regattas throughout the season. Training and regatta support are provided by the manager/coach who can be contacted on an individual basis 365 days a year.
SailCoach welcomes applicants from all nations large and small and can offer sailors the positive benefits of a first-class range of coaching services, tailored to their individual needs:
  • Personal goal setting for the improvement of sailing and study skills and the building of self-confidence and self-motivation.
  • Help/advice on programme planning and future sailing career opportunities in World Class Sailing.
  • Sailors are positively encouraged to take up quite specific fitness and mental training programmes.
  • Provision of Regatta Support at five major regattas.
  • Five highly competitive training camps which offer a forum for the exchange of ideas.
  • Personal and strictly confidential Coach counselling.
  • Administration of: regatta entries, accommodation, boat charter and transport to regattas.
SailCoach provides a suitable learning environment in a multi-national team whose first language in most cases is not English. Given the multi-disciplinary nature of sailing, SailCoach seeks to develop broader lifetime skills as well as sailing-specific skills, building on the sailor's strengths, encouraging its' sailors to take more responsibility for their own learning and empowering them to set their own personal goals.
